Top Five Essentials

Top Five Essentials

While sitting in Starbucks typing this blog post, I figured it would be great to write about essentials. Everyone has different essentials that they feel are necessary for everyday life.

The essentials I need in my everyday life differ from most people. First of all I need peace which is not considered a thing, so allow me to start a list of things I absolutely can not live without. I would have to say ISPLURGE on candles, fresh sheets, vanilla hair sheen, pink nail polish along with a fans. My list consist of many more things but I will keep it short.

I love candles that have calm scents such that remind me of fresh flowers that will completely change the atmosphere of my personal space. Fresh sheets that are soft and crisp are totally necessary to me, comfort means a lot especially when it comes to sleep. I have noticed that many people on social media use the hashtag #teamnosleep, that is one quote that I will not use because sleep is essential!

When it comes to sheets I prefer colors that pop especially purple and pink along with lavender, soft pink and neon colors. Soft sheets set the tone for me to get my proper amount of rest. My body requires eight hours of sleep. However, I do not need to splurge on 500 thread count sheets. I keep it really simple but EXTRA on the color, as long as the sheets are soft and mellow that is good enough for me.

As for a fan, I love cool air blowing on me in the mist of the day along with the darkness of the night, it's a must. Even on chilly nights I like to have the ceiling fan on it allows me to sleep better, all while I'm tucked under a down comforter. When it comes to my hair I love black vanilla sheen. It is a necessary for my natural hair, it smells good and I love the way my hair feels along with it being extra shiny.

As far as my natural nails I prefer the color hot pink it suits my skin tone and looks very nice on me.  I have been wearing hot pink nail polish on my natural nails for many years in conjunction with clear polish, they are both definitely needed.

ESSENTIALS: If you are reading this, take a few minutes and share what essential you absolutely feel you can not live without.

Keep SPLURGING on the things that you feel you can not live without, because they are necessary right?

My number one essential is my cell phone. I use my phone to guide me through my day. When I wake up I use my phone to listen to a sermon or workship music while I’m getting ready for the day. When at my destination I usually listen to business podcasts for inspiration/ information and to get me motivated.

These things keep me positive/ aligned with God and my purpose.
